Owls

Apparently they were a big topic of conversation at school last week. In the teacher's weekly email she mentioned that they read about owls, talked about owls, made owls. We even have a big plastic owl on our deck to scare the morning doves away.  Do you think Jake even mentioned owls all week? One hoot, maybe?  No. Nothing. He tells us nothing! It's so frustrating!

I'm guessing he's a ladies man??  Just try asking him about the girls in this picture. He can't name a single name! I am really hoping that all of this is because he is the youngest in his class. He just has some maturing to do...and then he'll start telling me stuff, right?  Humor me.

Jake's made a new discovery with the screwdriver and batteries. He has toys that are magnetic. (They are suppose to be refrigerator toys. Unfortunately our stainless steel fridge is not magnetic. He has a magnetic board to use instead.) The batteries will stand up on the magnetic toy. He pretends they are birthday candles. He sings Happy Birthday over and over and then knocks the batteries down. 

 

I got this handsome picture with Daddy's help. Jake was right out of the shower, so his hair was perfect. His smile and eye contact were, too!

Of course, he did this for good measure. We can't let Mommy get too excited.
