Waiting for baby...

Laurie and Matt contacted me about a maternity shoot and newborn shoot. I love that they did maternity pictures, and I love that I got to meet them before they meet their baby girl. What an exciting time for them.

Baby Kaiden...

Check out this sweet little man...

He's just about 3 months old and was such a good sport during our time together. He is full of personality and expressions...already! His parents rocked! Dad knows how to get his attention! It was darling to watch.

Catch up...

It seems so strange to me to be planting flowers in March. I never...ever...ever plant until after the first week of May. What a strange winter and early spring this has been.

My sister brought this flower over, and Jake put it in the ground for me.

To top off Jake's spring break fun, we headed to the Arch yesterday with Kate and Rick. This was Rick's first trip up the Arch!!

Can we all just say a silent prayer that I have skies like this in mid April when I shoot Erin and Jared's wedding...please!  I think after the engagement shoot in the rain, we deserve it!

The Arch was a crazy busy place, but Dan got our tickets the day before and made reservations at one of our favorite restaurants downtown for after.

It was a beautiful day, so there was no way Kate and Rick were going to get away from my camera once our Arch trip was over.

They are so cute together!!

Of course, the little man is always ready to pose.

I am working on two shoot edits right now. You'll see baby Kaiden and Laurie and Matt's maternity shoot soon. In the meantime, check out Joseph. He likes cake.

It seems like just yesterday that I got to meet new baby Joseph at his home.

Here he is...a first birthday boy!

Look who came to Gigi's house...

We took care of Izzy and Ben on Saturday. Kate and I took turns with our sweet boy and had fun cuddling. This was the first time I've seen his eyes open since his birth.

This weekend was the end of the basketball season for Jake. I am really going to miss it. Our team was composed of friends, and I really enjoyed spending this time with the other parents. Some of the boys are heading to kindergarten next year and some aren't. This means that we'll probably be on different teams next season.

We had such a busy Sunday. We took Jake to the Wild Bird Sanctuary for World Eagle Day. I can't believe we haven't been there sooner. He loved every minute of it. We also drove through the park there and saw elk and bison. I loved that he was experiencing a day of firsts.

Even with everything we did and saw...the highlight of Jake's day didn't come until we got home. Dan asked him if he would like to clean out all the old bird nests under our deck. Jake would be climbing the ladder! He was over the moon excited!

He did a great job climbing the ladder, removing the old nests, and tossing them towards the trash bag. We totally cracked up when he threw one nest the wrong way, and it hit Dan right on the head!

This little lady is as sweet as she looks! What a fun session! Her outfits were the BEST!
