Naomi came to the studio. I love this. She's such a doll!
I put a cute storyboard together for Mason's mom. He got so into this cake smash. He ate almost the entire mini cake!
Mom and Dad requested a pull back shot. I'm so glad they did. I 'm going to try to remember to do this for all the cake smash sessions.
My sweet nephew, Ben, came over for his 6 month shoot. What a hunk of love he is!
My gorgeous friend, Shea, was interested in some portfolio shots. I was anxious to try a new location that I hadn't used for an evening session. I love the spots we chose! Here are a few...I'll share more later.
Shea's session was play time for me. I loved it!
October is going to be filled with senior sessions, mini holiday sessions, and family lifestyle sessions. I've got a birthday party at the pumpkin patch and cute babies in the studio. Can't wait!

Firsts...
Jake had a great start to his school year. We got to school about 20 minutes early on that first day and spent some time taking pictures.

He also had a big first on the soccer field last week. He scored his first goal of the season during game number 1!
( All products by Katie Pertiet and Pattie Knox and available at DesignerDigitals.com.)
Unfortunately he has another first right now...his first cold of the new school year. He doesn't have a fever and was still pretty active today, so I'm planning on school for him tomorrow. My fingers are crossed! I played A LOT last week. I need a work day tomorrow.
Kate has also had a great start to her school year, but she never lets me take any pictures. Boo. She's taking 18 hours this semester, but she seems to be handling everything with ease. I'm proud of her!
I spent some time with Megan, Chuck, and family last week. I got the sweetest email from Megan regarding our shoot and her images. She even shared it on my Facebook business page, which is always appreciated.
"Gigi- LOVE!!!!! I can not stop looking at them:). I cannot thank you enough!! You do BEAUTIFUL work. This is the best Mother's Day gift I have EVER received....priceless...and something I will cherish forever. You really captured the essence of our family."
She also mentioned that she will definitely not be waiting another 10 years to do it again! Here are some of my favorite shots from our session.
Mason came to see me last week in the studio. He just celebrated his 1st birthday, so it was time for his cake smash session. Wow...he sure likes cake!
Mom asked me for a pull back shot at the end of the cake smash. I love this! I'm going to try to do it for all the smash sessions.
Happy Birthday, little man! You are such a sweetheart!
I also spent some time last week with a gorgeous young woman who wanted some shots for her portfolio. We went to a location that I've shot in the morning only. I was eager to see it in the evening. The shoot was amazing! I'll start sharing soon!

What a fun family!
Let me tell you...it was SO hot and humid the evening of this shoot. I hardly noticed because I was too busy laughing and being entertained by this fun family.
If you guys ever want to hang out, I am there! Thanks for making my Friday evening so special.

Something special...
I was setting the table the other night...for five. I was thinking about how much things have changed in 5 years. For many years I set a table for 3. Then we had Jake, he got old enough for a big boy plate, and I set a table for 4. Now a few nights a week, I get to set a table for 5 when Rick is with us. I always wanted a big family. This makes me happy.
Today was Jake's first day of school! I took a lot of pictures, but I've only edited one so far. It says it all.
"Mom...just ONE more first day of school picture, and that is IT!" More to come!
A couple weeks ago, I got to spend time in the city with some of my Shutterclub buds. I was so glad I got to play! I have Dan's mom and dad to thank for this day. Both sets of grandparents have made it easy for me to work and play this summer. I appreciate and love them all so much!
I have a few more client favorites to share. This is a great start to a busy September!
Baby Naomi's shoot is finished! What a doll! I got so much eye contact from her, but I loved this one, too!
Brooklyn came to the studio last weekend. She just celebrated her first birthday. Mom brought along so many adorable outfits, it was hard to choose! She kept mom hopping during the shoot. She's a girl with lots of spunk....I love that!
I spent some time with a special couple today. They have a secret! I hope to share it soon! ;)
