Second Thoughts...

Now I'm not so sure about Project 365. I'm thinking about Project Life instead. You can check it out here:

Project Life

The only thing that is holding me back is the idea of going back to a big scrapbooking binder. You can also do Project Life through Shutterfly and do it all digitally.  I have to make a decision...BY TOMORROW.  Why am I having so much trouble with this?  I took a year off. I thought I would be so eager to get started.

At least I completed my holiday book...almost. I have 2 pages left...yesterday and today. I even finished the cover. I want to order while Shutterfly is having their New Year sale.

Decision...

I've decided I'm back on board with Project 365 this year! I can't believe how many people gave me trouble about not doing it in 2011! I must admit, that I was pretty disappointed over the summer while looking through my 2010 book.  I've been going back and forth trying to decide how to manage it this year. It can't become a burden. I'm too busy for that!  I found this on pinterest.com

Project 365 Book

I think this would be crazy easy to do and different enough to keep me interested. I do HATE my handwriting, but I think it's important to include it sometimes. I treasure the items I have with my grandmother's handwriting, and maybe I'll have a granddaughter that feels the same way someday.

So...that decision has been made, and you can all hold me to it.

I have a few more Holiday Book pages to share, but I haven't spent much time on the computer since last week. I just finally uploaded my Christmas pictures last night, but they aren't even edited yet. Let's just say that it was awesome to be together as a family, and my children were very, very happy.

I posted a birthday message to my daughter yesterday on Facebook, and I meant to do so here. Kate turned 20 yesterday! That is just so hard for me to believe. This just seems like yesterday...

Happy Birthday, Kate! We love you so much!  I hope this birthday was extra special for you!

More Holiday Fun Part 2...

I had some fun playing with the lights on Jake's little Christmas tree. Dan heard noises coming from Jake's room while he was sleeping. It was just me shooting in the dark with just the tree on. Dan just shook his head.

I've been meaning to try this for years, and a contest held by another photographer gave me the motivation. Fun, huh? Next time you see me, ask me how I did it. ;)

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope your holiday is filled with lots of love and happiness.

More Holiday Fun...

We had the best holiday family weekend! I'm working on the pages for our holiday book and will share them that way. This is my recent attempt to catch up!

Christmas Program...

Jake was a shepherd in his school Christmas program.

Notice the look on his face? I'm guessing that is his embarrassed look. We noticed funny stuff with the lips during the entire performance.

He kept his head down while he was singing. It was adorable!  I don't remember him ever being embarrassed before.

I have a new favorite ornament this year.  As part of our gift, his teachers took a picture of each child in costume and made an ornament with the picture. I was so glad to have this since taking a decent shot in the crowded classroom during the performance was next to impossible!

Not quite there...

I did get a lot accomplished last night, but I can't officially say "caught up" just yet.  Three in one night wasn't bad!

I also wanted to share my session with Emma's sweet family. This mom and dad make such a great team. I was really amazed by them. Emma is a lucky girl!

Just look at this sweet face!

I am pretty sure we are still buddies...even though she wasn't a fan of the cake.

Happy Birthday, sweet girl!

Tonight is the night!

Tonight I'm going to attempt to catch up on my holiday book. Let's see how long I can keep my eyes open!

Before I show you another sweet family that came to see my last week, I want to say Happy Birthday to my wonderful father in law!! Love you, Dad! Hope you enjoyed your day! :)
