Senior guys...

I couldn't have asked for a nicer group of young men to shoot. They were polite, respectful, and open to all of my suggestions. I loved talking to each one about their senior year and plans for next year. When we were finished shooting, they were so appreciative of the time we spent. I was so impressed with each one. Thanks for a great afternoon, guys! Enjoy this year!

JoLynna...

JoLynna was the only other young lady from the senior marathon. She made it SO easy to get GREAT shots! We had the most gorgeous cloudy day...perfect!  She was so open to all of my suggestions...love that! What great results!

I LOVE all the looks I can get within just 10 minutes of my home!!

Good luck with your big decisions this year, JoLynna!

Finally...

Jake has asked to go bowling off and on for a very long time. I have no idea why we didn't do it sooner. I have no excuses. It was a miserable, hot summer. We could have spent time weekly at the bowling alley! We finally did it. Dan even took time off on a Friday afternoon to go along. We took Jake's friend with us. With two 5 year old boys and a bowling ball, I knew I wouldn't be able to handle my camera. The new iPhone would have to do.

Jake is still really enjoying soccer...especially when he scores! Here he is on the run back from a big goal.

I just love catching that smile.

Late on in the game, I caught this! I have no idea what he was doing.  I guess it was some sort of crazy run/jump.

Mama and Papa came along for this one. I'm so glad they got to see him score!

We have a big family weekend of pictures coming up. It's time to head to my aunt and uncle's ranch for their annual fall festival. I'm crossing my fingers that the predicted rain will drop out of the forecast.

I promised a few more shots of Zach's pumpkin patch birthday party. Zach LOVED this old fire truck which is displayed right next to the party pavilion. I didn't think we were going to get him out!

In the next shot I think he was offering me a taste. ;)

Happy Birthday, sweet boy!

I'm calling this past weekend SENIORPALOOZA!  Miranda, who shoots and has assisted me in the past, organized this event. She invited 5 of her friends to have their senior pictures done together. We had a BLAST! I couldn't have asked for a nicer group of high school seniors. They were cooperative and respectful and willing to try anything I asked. I was so impressed with them!  I think they had a pretty good time, too! :)

Miranda volunteered to go first, and I'm editing in order. She's a girl after my own heart.  She's even a Nikon shooter!

What a natural beauty!

More seniors coming soon!

My music man...

Jake's iTouch is in his hands quite a bit lately. He's not just playing games. He's listening to music. He is such a music guy. Don't be surprised if I'm complaining about the noise his band is making in my basement someday.  He's asking for drums for Christmas. Some Facebook friends might remember a post about drums last Christmas. I bought them, but I never gave them to him. So...he's getting drums this year. :)

Here are some of the songs on Jake's playlist.

Good Time - Owl City and Carly Rae
Too Close - Alex Clare
We Found Love - Rihanna
Hanging by a Moment - Lifehouse
Not Over You - Gavin Degraw
Good Feeling - Flo Rida
You Really Got Me - Van Halen
Sweet Home Alabama - Lynryd Skynyrd
We're Not Gonna Take It - Twisted Sister
Some Nights - Fun

The boy likes variety!

I spent some time with Molly and her mom last week. We had a great senior session. She is the SWEETEST young lady...so soft spoken. I love her smile.

There was just something about this shot that I loved, too. It was speaking to me. I think it was her eyes.

I convinced mom to get in a shot. I'm glad I did, because she told me in an email that the image made her cry.

Sweet baby Kayleigh came to the studio this weekend. She was a little teary at first, and then she turned on the smiles. Her aunt is one of my brides in 2013! I love that!

Great Grandma made her hat right before she passed away. That is so special, it makes me teary just thinking about it!

Yesterday I spent time with Zach's family celebrating his 2nd birthday! It was great to see everyone again. I can't believe a year has gone by. I was with them last year to celebrate his first birthday. Guess where we were again!

There will be more to come from Zach's party!
